One of the very first things people look for when considering a move to a new area is to check out the city's statistics. It often gives accurate indicators about what the city is all about.
I have a borrower from Arizona, that is moving to Boise Idaho and will save so much on his insurance for his business, that it will more then pay for a new mortgage in Boise. Statistical data is the foundation for a person's reason to relocate and begin a new life.
I have compiled a list of cities in Idaho's Treasure Valley. Each has a link to that cities statistics.
- City of Boise Idaho
- City of Eagle Idaho
- City of Meridian Idaho
- City of Nampa Idaho
- City of Caldwell Idaho
- City of Kuna Idaho
- City of Emmett Idaho
- City of Mountain Home Idaho

Craig, I will email you some better statistics from our MLS instead of Trulia. Trulia doesn’t get the whole picture very well since Idaho is a non disclosure state.
For example, in Boise, they claimed an average list price of $308,835 and for single family residential in Boise it is closer to $246,172. They claimed a median sale price of $140,340 and YTD in Boise it is about $167,500. I usually drop off the mobile homes, condos and townhouses so my number is usually about $180,000. When I did the three months (August to October like their period) I still got $164,457 for the median home price sold.
I am not sure how they define “Boise” since their number of listings don’t add up to mine. (maybe they add in Pending as Active or go clear to Ada County?
I would glad to provide more accurate data for you however.
